The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead EverVet’s financial planning, forecasting, and performance management activities across both corporate and hospital operations. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role that will shape how financial insights drive decision-making at all levels of the organization—from site-level operators to board/investor stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strong financial acumen, experience in a private-equity backed multi-site healthcare business, and advanced financial modeling and analysis expertise. The ability to connect operational drivers to financial performance will be critical. Candidates should also bring proven working knowledge of ERP and BI systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Dayforce, Solver, and Power BI to create scalable, data-driven processes.

Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and long-term financial planning across corporate, joint ventures, and hospital entities.
- Build and maintain driver-based forecasting models that capture the dynamics of a physician-based multi-site business
- Provide financial decision support for M&A diligence, de novo growth, and capital allocation opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI tracking tools to monitor enterprise and hospital-level performance.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages to senior leadership, lenders and the board, including financial results, operational KPIs, variance analysis and forward-looking insights.
- Collaborate with Operations leaders to track DVM productivity, labor efficiency, marketing ROI, and technology investments.
- Partner with HR and hospital leaders using Dayforce analytics to inform staffing strategies and optimize resource allocation.
- Translate strategic priorities into financial plans and tracking tools that support hospital-level execution.
- Serve as a proactive resource to field leaders, delivering operational insights that allow them to drive operational outcomes
- Manage and mentor a high-performing FP&A analyst, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and professional growth.
- Champion process improvements and best practices in forecasting, planning, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in system integration and automation across core financial and reporting systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial operations; experience in a private-equity backed, multi-site healthcare or veterinary services strongly preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Deep understanding of financial and operational drivers in a services-based, field-supported business model.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics, Dayforce, and Solver (required).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) a plus.
- Experience with Joint Venture partnership structures and GAAP accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with experience preparing board-level deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop talent within a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
